Breast Augmentation

Many women are not happy with the size or shape of their breasts. Few people actually look in the mirror and feel one hundred percent happy with what they see. We all have our own ideas about the size, but most women would agree that a beautiful bust-line should look natural, firm, full and uplifting. The disappointment or frustration of a small bust can now be overcome by using various implants to create the fullness of natural looking breasts. An increasing number of people in this country, both men and women are turning to plastic surgery to correct parts of their bodies they simply do not want to live with any longer.

Breast surgery is now the most commonly performed cosmetic surgical procedure, and as attitudes have changed particularly over the past five years it has become more widely accepted. The understanding that to change your physical appearance can be as important as maintaining good health or physical fitness in your feelings of self-esteem and confidence.

Operation and post-operative care

The operation is carried out under a general anaesthetic, lasts about 1 hour and requires overnight stay at the clinic.  Operative access is possible from fissure under breast or through the nipple. Scars are smooth, and concealed under the breasts and through nipple area. You agree upon location of the incision with surgeon.

We use European implants EUROSILICONE and American MENTOR. The producers offer various type of the implants, the most useful is round (standard) and tear drop (anatomical) shape of the implants.

The method of inserting and positioning your implant will depend on your preferences, anatomy and surgeon´s recommendation. However the implants is normally inserted through an incision made from the areola (half moon shape or incision around the edge of the areola can be chosen). Dissolvable stitches are used, so you will not need to return to the clinic for their removal and fly back home earlier.

What is the recovery time?

This will depend on the individual patient however most patiens are able to go back to work after a couple of days. Although you can walk about and do very light activities from the next day, it is advisable not to do anything strenuous for 10-14 days.

The average recovery time is between 2-3 weeks. You will be adviced to wear special compression bra for 4-6 weeks, after this time you will be able to wear wireless (sport) bra for 4-6 months after the surgery.

What can I expect from the surgery?

Your expectations need to be realistic. Most patiens are pleased with the outcome and find they gain a feeling of increased self-confidence especially when wearing cant house more revealing clothes. The overall achievement will be having a completely natural look that compliments your figure. It is impossible to create perfect symmetry of the breasts and small differences should be expected.
